Mediation which is often referred as Dispute Resolution is a quick and less expensive alternative to costly ongoing litigation. As a certified mediator, I have settled 99% of the cases assigned to me by the courts and referred by other attorneys. After 22 years years of Law practice and litigation, I bring the expertise of understanding legal and evidentiary issues to the table to help the parties understand the pitfalls and risks of trial. Having been a mediator for 9 years, and after having represented parties at mediation, I have a unique understanding of the mechanics of the process and the interpersonal dynamics of the parties so that I can be especially effective in assisting the parties to arrive at an agreement they can live with. This process fosters cooperation between the parties while minimizing the hurt and anger that accompanies litigation so that they can continue to work with one another on an ongoing basis, if necessary. Mediation terminates the risk of a life altering decision made by a judge or jury that might not consider the needs and feelings of the parties. Types of cases mediated: Child custody, condemnation proceedings, marital property division, personal injury liability and damages and consumer rights.
